stevio
Im currently 17 moving into Oz in late October on a permanent visa, i was wondering on an estimation on how hour driving lesson costs in Brisbane area about. Is it worth getting started on my driving lessons in the UK just to get familiar with the road and so i can save spending more on the same lessons in Australia. Thanks
Guest The Pom Queen
You will have to do 100 hours of driving first before you can get your P's. It is a very long winded process. The 100 hours don't need to be with a driving instructor but it needs to be with someone who has a full open license. Driving lessons are approx $65 per hour. See if this link helps https://www.keys2drive.com.au/requirements/qld/learner_licence.aspx

Can give you her number/business address if required. Good Luck with your move BTW! B
LukeM
$65 is excessive for 1hr. You're being ripped off at that! Check out My Driving School. http://www.mydrivingschool.com.au I've had a number of instructors with them, all are very very good. My brother also used them and passed his test first time with them. 1hr lessons are $57 currently. If you "block book" the cost per lesson goes down but you do have to pay up-front if you do "block book" I've had a looooong and hectic experience being a learner driver here in Qld and only just got my first car about a month ago so I can tell you pretty much whatever you want to know about driving in Brisbane and the surrounding areas from a learner perspective. If you want to know more or have specific questions you can drop me a PM on here.
