M1cha3la
Hey, Would Henley Beach be a good spot to stay during our reccie? All the stuff online seems to be good, but would be fab to hear some first hand opinions:cute: Thanks xx
Diane
Yep, Henley is lovely! Lots of nice cafes and quite lively. Are you going to be there during the Australian summer?
M1cha3la
Thanks Diane :wubclub: We go in September, so will that be spring? The place I am looking to book claims it is about 20 mins on the bus into Adelaide centre, does that sound about right? Xx
Diane
Yes that sounds about right - it's pretty much directly West of the City so shouldn't take much more. September should be lovely - Spring, obviously so not baking hot, but you'll get days in the low 20s and some lovely clear blue skies. Not warm enough for us locals to hit the beach usually in September, and the sea will be bloomin' freezing, but still a nice time of year to be here. If you come in early September, try and have a day at the Royal Adelaide Show (5th to 14th Sept this year) - kind of a cross between the Ideal Home Expo, and a Country Show, with lots of animals, food and wine samples, displays, pig diving, wood cutting... a true taste of South Australia!! Rachel Tilley
I loved Henley Beach, one of my favourite places. It has a beautiful little square just off the beach with some lovely bars and restaurants. A real holiday feel to it.
