Using iPhone App Store in Aus with UK phone

Hi, I hope someone will understand what I'm trying to explain here so let me apologise if this is confusing!

I have an unlocked iPhone, however, my apple account is UK. If I try to download certain Aus based apps it just goes blank as though I can't access them. It's happened with various apps but Optus app springs to mind. It will take me to the App Store then not 'find' the app and just show me a blank screen. I assume, based in the other apps that do the same, that it's because they are Aussie based. They are free apps so it shouldn't be anything to do with credit in my account.

Does anyone else have these problem and can you tell me how to solve it?

Thanks

You have to change the location of your phone in your itunes account and resync it.

Go to your account in itunes, find settings and set the location as Australia. It will ask you to update your payment details to an Aus card as well.

It does mean that some UK apps may not function - although I think with mine it was only the Sky News app I had to download again from the Aus app store.

Yup, just set yourself up with an Aus ID (new address, card etc). Bit of a faff when it comes to updating apps but I tend to keep the I devices set to the most used account and set iTunes on the laptop to the other and update them there. Occasionally I sign in as "the other" on the I devices if I'm away from the laptop but want to update. For ease, I just added UK (in my case) to the new account and kept the same password so it's pretty simple.

Yeah you can change your location to Australia and then you are able to enter a australa payment info. Think keeping two ids is a bad idea cause your apps are tied to the id and don't tthink you can move previous purchases over.

As other posters have mentioned there's a lot of iTunes support on line if you get stuck just visit support.apple.com
