devendra Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Hi there, I applied for 187 visa on 26 Feb 013, granted Bridging Visa A (BVA) on the same day. But the BVA is not in effect because I am on spouse visa, 572, which is in effect. I would like to make the BVA active so that my wife does not need to go to uni and I can work full time! Freesia Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Well that means you're expecting them to grant your 187 immediately- there has to be a processing time for your visa! I don't think you can just change the status quo to get PR straight away.... It might be possible to get work rights though, lots of people apply for that if they can't afford not to be working.
