Hi one of my frnd working in regional area for 1 year and he got his pr year ago but what happened his employer sold his business to some else. But he really confused what should he can do . He really want to knew about if he leave and work some where in regional area its is ok for him or is there any effect to his visa. Because he asked from lot of people .everyone have a different ans like some people say he can go anywhere and some say he have to stay with the same business and new owner . So please help us with this . Who no the right answers please lest us no because really need u r help ....

If it was a company that sponsored him and that company has been sold to someone else it will still be the responsibility of that company to honour the visa conditions of your friend. All the relevant information should have been disclosed to the purchaser when the company was sold.

thanks for reply but he had contract with the employeer for 2 year . but the old owner sold the business to some else everything is change abn no evrything but the restaurant name is still the same so that mean he still have towork with them for another year for new employer . but my friend is confused about if the new owner dnt want him in the business then what should he can do ....?

As long has your friend has made every effort to stay employed within the business (doesn't matter who owns it) then he will be fine. If the new owner makes him redundant he should find another job within a regional area and complete his year with a different employer.

 

DIAC are only interested in people who go out of their way not to fulfil their conditions, not people who through no fault of their own find themselves out of a job.

 

If in doubt get him to speak to a registered migration agent.

so you mean to say if he leave and start work somewhere else in regional area for complete his obligation . he will be fine .?
