VERYSTORMY
We are in mandurah and pay about $300 a month all together on average. Summer is a bit cheaper as we don't have air con and the lights are on less. Winter we have a heater running. But about $300 average. As to if it's a good deal at $600 a week depends on the property and where it is.

nic1964
Hi, my advice is that it really depends on the way you live. Me and my wife have a 3 bed north of Rockingham, without air-con (boy its hot), and we try and live pretty carefully. Rent is $360 per week, but that includes rates, and the standing water charges (which in total is around $2K/year). Thats standard for rentals. We don't have foxtel or a fixed telehpone, and have a portable WiFi receiver Electricity and Gas are around $10-15/week each. The wifi is around $25/month. I would say that $600 is quite expensive even with bills thrown in. The days are already getting shorter here, so I would expect you will get limited use from the pool, and you soon realise it feels cold in Winter, after the days we've had, and heating is required. rentals are however difficult to find, and if you need short term accomodation, then $100 a night is cheap, so having something lined up may be worthit. Hope this helps Nick
