@jess6, yes, I've thought of that..but what about cases like mine and a few others that have not even been allocated after 9 months or so?

My employer has sponsored (other occupations) several times and they have always gotten approval. They are stable and precious about sponsorship so I cannot fathom a problem with them. And there's nothing odd or different about our visa-side of things. So maybe we just haven't been allocated, full stop.

Seems like FEB-APRIL 2016 have had long timelines just based on the spreadsheet. Do realise it's only a snippet, but still, so are the rest. Guess we will never know. Oh well, I'm going to try to let go and leave it to God for now. No use expending more energy by worrying needlessly.

I am sure you will be approved soon - the reality is that it takes 6 to 9 months (sometimes more) and I do not believe there is any logic behind the allocation.

I really understand how frustrating it is for you - it is also for me - but we will not find any answers I am afraid.

You know maybe there are CO allocated by occupation and the marketing specialist CO has been on leave, just making things up here to demonstrate that we know nothing about how the department works and we will not find out :)

Surely they do not make us wait just for the sake of it.

But yeah, I am super stressed too, it all feels super unfair especially because we respect the rules and align with Australian values.

Hi guys i was a silent follower of this forum, my time line is 03 march 2016 for nomination and on 20th January 2017 received a refusal notification.

in between they asked for supporting documents which I did provided them the reason for refusal is the net profit of the sponsored company is low.

My MA asking me to go for Appeal. Anybody have any idea on it.

My PR came through today!

Nom & Visa 5th July.

I'll update with full info later!

I'm so relieved!

Nomination & Visa 5th July, 1 person, LR, ICT Tech, Transition, No Documents requested.

On a side note, another employee with a completely different job title got her PR today as well. So I imagine job title has less significance than we thought.

Figures provide imcome is only 6k more than expenditure, which is how much the profit is, and your basic salary is 55k, its a big problem if employer cant tell some solid evidence for the necessary of position he offered to you, because profit is only a ninth of your payment, actually all profit of three fy in row is less than half of what they gonna pay u. BTW depends on the 2millions turnover, this profit is sort of unacceptable. Something must be wrong I guess.

How about in this financial year 2016, we can increase the profit and do a appeal.

Hi,

You should be taking professional advice from a migration agent or you should speak directly to the DIBP as clearly have a problem with your application. Either way I'm sure that your company isn't allowed to manipulate profits for the purpose of a submitting a residency application.

Still lots paperwork to.do about how could profit rapidly increase dozen times from 2015 to 2016, for the record unless your employer has already done Something about financial report of last fy, what is done of last year is already done, nothing u can do about it now

and I dont think only profitability of a single year is enough to convince co being satisfied about company financial status, u need more.

An MA will answer this question better than me :)

If the application is rejected, you could appeal I guess or find another job. I do not think you can apply for 189 visa if you are not on the SOL.

But I mean, that's pretty bad for your employer if the application is rejected! Obviously if they sponsor you it's because they need you.

And why would the department reject the 186 visa if you are already on 457 under the same occupation?

Again, you may want to ask a Migration Agent because I am not a specialist :)

Hi Manson and Jess6,

Thank you for your posts. I'm really happy with my application but I've found it always pays to know your options just in case.

I've had a look at bridging visas B, C and D and a couple look potentially viable. I'll check out the tourist visa option too.

I'll ask my MA but I like to be prepared.

Some small companies actually make more profit than what they show in the statement. They like to hide their income that they dont pay much taxes on their income. But these days this hide and seek game became a curse for the applicants. There is no requirement at the moment about the profit and loss amount in the statemnt. Many people got pr in the past eventhough they showed loss. But these days its become so much harder

@Izzielizzie - my MA just sent me a mail today to re-confirm that the department is currently taking 9 months to process applications. Which means for me: March/April.

I know that my friend, who got approval last week, had similar feedback from her MA and it was a big surprise for her to see her case approved so soon (6 months).

So, it does not seen abnormal to be processed in 9 or 10 months.
