small item removals

Hi all,

Just a quick query and possibly some feedback on Seven Seas Worldwide. I have done a bit of nosing about on the net and have come across some very mixed reviews on this company for shipping small items. I have done a rough calculation and i will be sending over approx 4 book boxes and 3 .. maybe 4 tea chests. Only items such as bed linen, uni books, cd's, photo albums and the like will be packed. There will be one piece of electrical which is a small industrial type fan (over 12 months old) and about 8 pairs of shoes. Now i know the shoes have to be scrubbed clean but what I have read makes me a tad apprehensive about using them as they quote for the cost of removals ie.£170.00 and some people have been hit with like an extra $300 customs bill once the items have arrived in Aus. Has anyone used these and if so are they any good? The small print does give the charges for items that customs may check but I'm not wanting a nasty surprise when i eventually get my stuff. Any feedback would be appreciated and suggestions welcome for good shipping companies for what I am sending over. thanks in advance :biggrin:
