ghost
I have just advertised a car for sale , around the 40k mark, and Ive had an enquiry from a potential buyer, who's advised me that he will have to pay $2000 transfer fee on the vehicle. Is this correct ? Im shocked if it is. Surely I paid all that once, why does someone else have to pay it again. No wonder people keep their cars forever ! yorkiegirl
Yes, that's correct, he forgot to add the $15.40 transfer fee to the $2000! If you look at the department of transport website the info is there http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/20417.asp

tisme
Thanks yorkie girl Do we have to pay anything as sellers? No you don't, but make sure you fill in totally a vehicle transfer notice, you can get them from the PO. You have to send a copy into the traffic office.
