Visa submitted....... nervous muchly :-)

Well Fragomen have submitted our 457 Visa application on 3rd Feb, hubster just needs to go for his Chest X-ray then it's all go.... Hopeful its all going to go smoothly and pain free... starting to get quotes for shippers, 4 in total. Doesn't seem real somehow... this whole process of job interest in Adelaide started Feb 2011 and now Feb 2012 we are applying for Visas and about to change our whole lives... frankly I am terrified BUT excited at the same time.

Keep reading threads about 457 being the worst Visa to go on etc etc, family upset about the impending move, me sleepless at night worrying will it all work out. Well it's in the hands of the Gods now. Hope to be out there APril 2012

Hi and congratulations on submitting the visa ap. Hopefully it won't take you too long. Things do fall in to place so try not to stress too much, yes I know, easier said than done.

Some people say that the 457 is the worst visa to go on, but that hasn't been our experience at all. Although we have had to pay school fees and so on, we have settled well, bought a house and now have our application for PR in. PR was always our intention though, and it was written in to oh's contract that the company would sponsor us for PR after two years. Moving to the other side of the world was one of the most stressful things I have ever done, but it really does all sort itself out in the end.

Try not to worry, and if all else fails I found that wine helped!
