I would look at bringing that over, most premium brands in the 2-3 year age range are good prospects. Low mileage helps your cause too.

Initially we were thinking of taking only 1 car but somebody told me that it might be cheaper to take 2 cars because I might save some money in container's cost. The only problem is that it is in our Limited company's name and we both are the only directors. So not sure if it's allowed to take our company's car. I asked few people but nobody could give a straight answer for that. My other concern would be that we will be renting initially so will have problem charging it. Ok I can pretty much guarantee this will be the only one of its kind in Australia, which can be a good and a bad thing. Sharing parts with the Up certainly helps for servicing, but only bring it if you love it and want to keep it for a long time - bear in mind that when you sell, no-one will know what it is, or be looking for one.

It's break-even deal. Bring it if you love it

its worth bearing in mind that there are ways in Australia to buy vehicles for less that carsales.com prices and below redbook. i realize its not for everyone, but for example auctions in Australia are far more transparent than the uk. the bidding process is more transparent - no bids "off the wall", and all newer vehicle come with vehicle inspection reports - detailing faults. I've been involved in car sales in uk and australia and also looked into importing.

Thats not to say in some circumstances its not worth it - but for bread and butter vehicles you need to look beyond the straight redbook price. for example is it Australian spec (will main agents recognize the VIN and have all the parts). There are plenty of cars that in UK are diesel but mainly sold in Australia in petrol. As unlikely as it sounds big petrol engined vehicles (which no one wants in uk and so are worth next to nothing) maybe best to bring out here - for example land cruiser and BMW X5 V8 petrol. Friendless in the UK but in demand out here
