LouiseS
Now this may seem like a ridiculous question but can you ship over things like teabags as long as they are in original packaging and unopened?? I only drink yorkshire tea and when i do eventually get to Brisvegas, i would like to make sure i have a supply if i am allowed :biglaugh: as i'm not overly keen on the aussie tea. Any help is appreciated :cute:
Guest The Pom Queen
I have known lots of people to bring tea through BUT you will need to declare it. I'm not sure which airport you are arriving in to but Brisbane and Cairns have another baggage check just before you exit.
fizzybangs
Many places in Oz have shops for British items and I have been in them in Perth and Brisbane - Melbourne must have one or at least a shop that specialises in tea where you should be able to buy it. When I lived in UK I was told that they make tea differently for different areas because of the water - not sure if true but might not taste the same here anyway! Check on the web 'Melbourne + British tea suppliers' and see what comes up

Guest
I've found wherever I've lived in the UK has made a difference with regards to water taste and in tea etc. TBH you'd adjust to an Aussie brand of tea I am sure. Just a case of trying different ones and getting used to them. I found a couple of brands I liked over there. I don't have a specific tea brand here in the UK so it doesn't really matter much to me. I do like EGT from Twinings though since I got pregnant. And defo declare any and all food imports as if you don't and they search you you could lose the lot and get a fine. Think i will just try bushells and a couple of others and if i don't, get family to send a small box of tea over so i can try it out here  failing that i much prefer the coffee in Aus so might go back to drinking that instead
