Guest Fowlsfeet
I am trying to find some info for a friend who is currently residing in Australia on an 8502 Visa, Subclass 121. He arrived in the country over two years ago with his spouse, who is the sponsored party. My friends spouse is now considering a return to the UK but he wishes to remain. I have been all over the immigration website and there does not seem to be anything dictating that he must leave if his partner returns overseas. Has anyone else encountered this and can you tell me what the outcome was?
Pumpkin
Don't know what an 8502 visa is, but subclass 121 permanent employer sponsored. Your friend has PR and can do what he likes regardless of the original main applicant.
Guest Fowlsfeet
Thanks Pumpkin, I suspected that was the case have just been looking for some verification. Everything on IMMI indicated that he could remain but you know what govspeak is like, bout as clear as mud.:witch-cat:
Guest Fowlsfeet
Oh, The 8502, it's the bit that dictates they cannot enter the country prior to the sponsored party.
