JEM44
Hi, we are now counting down, a year to the day that we plan to move!! Although I'm hoping a friend will keep the girls for a few weeks to give us time to find a rental. I want to do as much as I can myself in getting my two Bichons ready for their trip and want to make sure I do everything I need. They em have just had their annual booster, just the regular things I guess so is there anything specific I need to make sure they are vaccinated against and start their rabies work? my vet does the rabies vaccinations but has said they no longer check that it's a negative result, however I know this is necessary does it need to be sent somewhere specific? Thanks laura (Candy & Penny)
BobPetairUK
Hi Laura I am away this week, but if you want to call the office one of the team can definitely help. Yes they will need a rabies vaccine and then checking to see they have made antibodies to it, so you can do that any time now. The vets dont do the rabies blood test for the passport, but it does need doing to get entry to Australia. That is the only bit you need to start doing now really.
