Wanted - furniture in Melbourne

Hi all,

My husband and I arrive in Melbourne on the 22nd August So excited. We are looking to rent somewhere near Aspendale. My work is in Noble Park.
All houses are coming up unfurnished, so we are needing everything. Beds, sofas etc. where is best to get these? If anyone is selling furniture we would love to hear from you.

Hi - Try gumtree. However be careful, don't part with any money unless you take delivery of goods :)

Give E-bay a shot - we bought a few bits of there (but we shipped a container too) and keep an eye out for sales and specials ;)

Buy the Trading Post on a Thursday and you can then find good second hand stuff in your area. Also look on Freecycle some people give away good furniture.

My friend and I do op shopping and there is some very good furniture turning up in them these days. People get rid of furniture when they paint the wall these days.

Also there are on line sites like appliancesonline.com.au dealsdirect etc.

Also look in the local supermarket some of them have white boards with things on them.

Also Leader Newspapers for your area you can have it sent to your email if you register on line.

there is a couple of discount furniture stores in dadenong just off the dandy frankstone road.when you get there and find your way about there easy to find not far from noble park.
