Is it possible to buy or get a mortgage for property even if you are on a temporary visa?

you can buy property but get a mortgage i don't know
if the deposit is big enough you never know

if your on a temp visa you will have to get permission from frib (i think ) at least that what i have found out and my viosa will be a temp one
