Just thought I should make you guys aware that all people renting out properties in Australia have to have a licence to do so or they are breaking the law.. Today we had the sad situation of rehoming a family who fell foul to an unscrupulous property manager.. The family from the UK rented out a house near Brisbane..unbeknown to them the person letting out the house didnt have a licence and was not authorised to do so.. It was a friends house that had been left vacant for a while. He thought he would chance making some money on it whilst the friend was out of the country.. This friend suddenly arrived back home yesterday to his house with an unknown family living in it.. Luckily we have rehomed this family in North Lakes and all turned out well..Thank Goodness!!! Just really wanna say be careful and ask as many questions as you can if you are unsure Jo x
I know that Jo had to under go training to gain her licence this is Queensland with regards to the other states I am not 100% sure but Jo may be able to tell you more.
You should ask to see their licence all letting agents should have one and better to be safe than sorry as im sure you will agree!

when i was looking on there a few weeks ago for rainbow beach there were lots of decent properties
but like jo says sal you dont have to pay to come and stay with us we weill just have to distribute your clan between both of our houses lol!!!
I was thinking of renting my house (rather than selling it) thats that idea out the window then.
