Bribie Island

I know someone that's going to get on your nerves

Sorry guys but now we have the Visa it's time to rock n roll !!

Ok looking at rentals on the net today and came across Bribie Island. Can anyone tell me what it is like there and I know there is probably a bridge of the island but is it a nightmare in the mornings to get out of?

Also what is there to do there? Anything sporty for my 2 teenage boys? Schools any good ones? Is it a nice place to live?

Any news would be welcome

Thanks guys

Hi kdal been there a few times i go mainly to fish. The fishing is great there . Yes, there is a bridge to get on and off the island. Certain times of the day it can be a bit of a nightmare. Personally i wouldn't want to commute in rush hour.
To get off the island you obviously have to go over the bridge, you then have about a 20 minute drive to get onto the highway.
As for schools on Bribie, sorry i can't help. As for clubs and things to do for teens i'm sure you wouldn't have a problem. There are beautiful beaches there, quite a few sand flys but that's not a problem as long as you've got your bug spray on so don't let that put you off.
they have a wonderful marina as well. For us it would be a wonderful place to live but being totally honest with you that bridge would do my head in having to commute every day. I would be quite happy sat under the bridge in my boat fishing all day.
Hope this helps a little.
Eddie

Hello Kim

Bribbie is Ok if you work local but a long drive from Brisbane. But if you are ok with that it's a nice place and up and coming. House prices are still cheap in Coparason to lots of other places.
It's part of Cabolture but alot nicer.

Thanks for that John, thats what I need cheaper affordable property and a nice area. See here in the UK we moved out slightly and have a lovely home, but with the increase of petrol prices it is hitting the pocket now. So I dont want to make the same mistake in Australia, and if I'm stuck on that bridge for ages it may eat the fuel.

Defiantely going to take a look at it though as 3 of you answered you all seem tosay its a nice place.

Kimx

p.s. a little birdie told me you didnt go to the last Essex meet after all. You had me going lol x
