Can you rent before you go?

Hi all,

If I can get a friend to find a place for me on Sunshine Coast does anyone know if it is possible to take out a lease from the UK before we go??

hi
I understand that you have to physically go to a viewing and then fill in the forms for the agent then they make a decision, we had to go thro this process in WA

Hi Lisa
Your friend can find you a rental and view on your behalf, they could maybe even take a few photos, video the house then if you still wish to proceed they can get the forms from the agent and fax/email them to you to fill out and return. Personally though I feel you would be better to view properties yourself as 12 months is a long time to be stuck in a contract in a place you don't like.
