House Swap

Hi

I read a thread a few weeks ago about house sitting in OZ and it got me thinking that this would be a better way of getting to know an area, than staying in a Hotel.

We are a family of six hoping to get our visa in the next 6 to 8 weeks and then looking to fly out to Queensland (Gold Coast area) to validate our visas and have a look at the different suburbs. What we are looking for is a house swap with a family who maybe looking for a trip back to the UK (We are based in Sheffield) or perhaps a holiday in Dubai as we have a Villa on the Palm Jumeirah.

I highly recommend house swaps (We wre really Lucky)
we undertook 2 house swaps 1 to sydney and 1 to brisbane both were great and have now moved to Brisbane. have you looked at holiswap.com or homeexchange.com web sites to see if there is any one on thaose sites interested in swapping or you can advertise on those sites I wish you well

Oh what a place to have a villa I love Dubai, my brother in law worked in Dubai for 10+ years, with my sister living out there for a while we went on holiday a couple of times and even thought about moving over there if we did not get into Oz.
I am sure someone would be interested.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your comments re: Dubai, we are hoping it will almost be a halfway house between the UK & OZ, a place to stop over for a few days to break the journey.

I like your web-site and we always watch “wanted down under”, to see how the voting goes, especially when there are teenage kids on the show.
