Buyers Agents??

I have read recently that a lot of people are now using a "Buyers Agent".

Has anyone used them, whats involved, how much for the service and if it was worth the money?

Any comments would be great

Mandy

Hi Mandy,

Buyers Agents are certainly becoming more and more popular in Australia - they are already used in the majority of property transactions in the US. It makes sense - the sales agent is a skilled negotiator who is representing the seller, if you use a buyer's agent then you also have a skilled professional who is representing you the buyer. Not using one has been compared to going to court without a solicitor representing you, while the other side has one.

I am a Buyer's Agent with Property Wizards based in Perth, WA (we won the best Buyers Agent of WA Award last year) and the fees are definitely fantastic value for the service! If you would like more information on exactly what we do, how we can find you the best possible property for your budget and protect you at all stages of the purchase, please feel free to email me at sophie@propertywizards.com.au or send me a PM with your contact details and I will give you a call to explain how it works.

Cheers,
Sophie

Nice if you could by pass a buyers agent. If you are lucky you migfht meet someone who is willing to do some leg work for you.I did so for a friend of mine recently and we saw 30 places in a week,I lined up firb and a soliciotor.......for free! She spent 1.2 mill, and we started to look at 1 mill and under. The best tip I can give you is a site calles www.oldlistings.com the agents must hate it.It has what the asking price WAS for a property. Its very useful as you may find out a property has been on the market quite awhile.............and at diff prices to the one presently advertised......lower or higher! You can also buy quite good reports on suburbs you like for say 50 dollars oz.The other option is to get a certified valuer in to tell you what the property is you like is really worth.Generally they are very pessimistic and low,but it gives you a good idea.Make a friend........if you can,and get free help.www.realestate is good...........and you can refine the price.........they group them(but they dont tell you that) even the ones that have no price!Hope that helps!
