hello there. can someone please help out as we are at the stage now of working out how far our budget will stretch. is the property really that expensive in and around the caloundra / bribie island areas. we are looking for a 3 bedroom lowset home in these areas and before we started looking, thought that $350,000 would be plenty, but after HOURS of perusal on realestate.com, we're finding that a decent property is more in the region of $400,000+ mark. we can only go by this website for now, are these figures fairly accurate? is there much land for sale in these areas as i am brickie and would love to build my own home? what sort of prices does the land come in at? thanks in advance for ANY advice. cheers, nyper
Your certainly right and it is beginning to look expensive in the Sunshine Coast now.. Lets just hope when your actually there and in quite a good position as first time buyers so to be speak, that things are a little more in our favour!! And also there is a grant in Queensland that you can claim (I believe) when first buying your property, so must also remember not to miss this as every little helps!!
Good luck and maybe yourself, my Oh and Mrs C Oh can all get together and build the 3 houses for us all, as you all have the experience to do so!!! Sounds like the three little pigs!! lol

anywhere near the east coast will cost you..the more you go inland the cheaper it can be..right down to big old 3-5 bedroom queenslanders on acreage for under 200.000..but some of these places are a little bit out of the way...and up to 4 hrs from the coast..but they are there...
if you have the $$..you can buy a whole town...
all the best..
