what paperwork do you need when you rent

Hi as title says what paperwork do you need to take with you when you rent? we don't have refrences as we don't rent we own at moment any help would be great. thanks rach

We took along a copy of our credit reports from Experian, copies of utilities bills and a reference from an employer and that did the trick. We didn't have jobs so offered to pay 6 months rent in advance which they didn't take us up on.

Its on a points system ,,i would supply copys of both your driving licences,both visas,utility bills ,mortgage account paid up ,,renting or character refs and a healthy bank account(with the account number crossed out),hope this helps

yes it helps just getting folder ready with all paper work and copys we might need so its all to hand.

what are your occupations & did it take long to get jobs??

Rach do a few copys of each thing ,,birth certs as well,,then you can apply for more than one property without having to start copying documents

Cal covered pretty much all the requirements, agents do vary slightly in what is worth how many points. We offered to pay 6 months rent up front which secured the hosue for us.

hi michele, i am a nursery assistant with level 2 nvq and oh is a plasterer. ( i know spelling mistakes) little one has had me up all night. we don't have jobs yet will sort that when we get there.

I'm a paralegal specialising in asbestos litigation so I was quite surprised to have a job within 5 days, I didn't even have anything to wear to work because the container was on its way. OH is in IT and still hasn't found anything because they want a certificate/qualification for everything and so has been doing training courses.
