Renting in Melbourne

Hi There Guys

We are in Auckland at the moment and looking to move to Melbourne. Any advice you can give us on renting with pets (we have a cat and a dog). We would ideally like to go to the eastern suburbs, but again any advice on good suburbs to be would be appreciated.

Hi Chris and Dave

We left the uk 10 weeks ago now and have been living 1st in a holiday home in Mount Martha for a few weeks when we got here then we found a property (fairly easily although there wasnt much around at the time) in Mornington.

To be honest driving around over the last few weeks we have noticed that there are a lot more properties to rent in Mount Martha and Mornington to when we were looking.

Yes properties seems to go quickly over here but there are always new ones coming on, so I am sure that you will be fine.

As I say, we as in (my husband, myself and 3 children, boys aged 5, 3 and 1) have only been here for 10 weeks however if you need any advise or just a chat when you get here then please let me know. We think its great here and I am sure that you will feel the same!!

Hi we are just moving from Mt Martha and have 4 months left on our fully furnished house. It is $450 a week. The landlord is happy for us to sub let. I'm sure if you want any longer that would suit. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks kind regards
