I have heard that 1st time buyers are entitled to a grant of $7000 towards the cost of buying a home, do you have more info on this?
I think I heard of another grant too that was $14000 but cannot remember what it was, it may be I missunderstood.
Any info on concessions when buying a property would be great.

We got the first home owners grant of $7,000 when we bought our house in WA - not heard of the other one though.

Hi ...when building a home in Qld you used to be able to claim $14000 first time home owner grant. This was reduced a few years ago and you now only get $7000. The same as when you buy a house.

You get the money when the building work commences not when you buy the land.
