What can i buy for $200,000?

G' day all,

I'm hopfully looking to move out to Brisbane later on this year, but my main worry is house price's.
Here in Nottingham i'm finding it hard to buy for £80,000/£90,000, now's thats about $200,000. been looking on the the Domain website and a few others and for $200,000 even $250,000 there doesn't seem to be much that i can afford. all i'm after is a 2/3 bedroom house, with parking, pool not important, but somewhere in or around Brisbane and not in the middle of nowhere.
If i do go ahead with my visa, i will be going out by myself and with only £15,000/£20,000 to start a new life with.
Any help please :D

fernando
