Rental in Burwood (Sydney)

Hi, can anyone advise me is Burwood a safe area to live (safe to walk alone in the night)? I will be moving to Sydney in January and considering to rent a unit there. :D

Burwood is home to many nationalities. I certainly wouldn't walk alone at night there, but to be fair, I wouldn't want to walk alone anywhere after dark.

Thks for your advise. Will look out for other areas like Chatwoods, Artarwood, Hurstville, St Leonards. Are these areas safe to live? This is important becos I will be living alone there. Regards

Chatswood, Artarmon and St Leonards are all good suburbs, being on the North Shore, which is among the better areas to live. Of course this will mean that rentals are higher too. These suburbs are all on the train line, which makes life easier for commuting into the city.
