Rental Application Points System

Hi all,

Just rented our first place in Oz and thought we would post a check list of things you need to pass the application, never new this when we started so hopefully will help you guys too

You must meet a 100 point requirement to rent in Australia, these 100 points are meet by,

50 point - Previous Oz proof of rent or proof of house sale in UK
40 point - Driving License Oz or UK
40 point - Medicare card, we used our E111 cards and were accepted
30 point - any photo ID
30 point - Passport
20 point - minimum two references from previous landlords/agents
10 point - Birth Certificate
10 point - Oz vehicle rego papers
10 point - Copies of recent utility bills, as proof of no default on payment Oz or UK

Basicly anything you think will help bring it with you

So basically, producing a driver's license, medicare card and passport will do it :)
