Short term rental required - Melbourne
Hopefully there's someone out there who can give us some guidance.
We'll be landing in Melbourne around 3rd Sept and start work on Thursday 13th Sept.
We're a family of 4 (2 teenage kids) and I'm struggling to sort out initial accommodation for when we arrive. The agents don't seem to be interested unless we can attend for a viewing.
What did other expats do on arrival and how long does it usually take to sort out a rental? Obviously we only have 2 weeks before we start work and would like to have an 'address' by then.

Hi Bellman.
Agents arent interested, and personally you will have a bit of a shock when you view some rentals. They often look 10 times better in the pictures than in real life.
I have sent you a PM regarding our accomodation, but you didnt state where you are looking, and Melbourne is a big sprawling city, so we might be on the wrong side.
have you also looked at:

I think personally 2 weeks wont be enough time to find a rental and get moved in. A 3-4 week window is often more comfortable to get everything organized without rushing into things too quickly.
