One Bedroom Appartment ForRent In Canberra

I signed a 12 month rental agreement on a brand new appartment in March 2012 but circumstances have changed and am now moving to Perth in the next 2 or 3 of weeks. I am trying to do the decent thing by my landlord by getting someone in to take on the rental property.
It is a brand new one bedroom spacious appartment with a pool, gym and outdoor bbq facilities.
If anyone is interested in renting this property please let me know.

I'm not looking but it might help others to know if it is on the south or north side or closer to Civic etc.

It costs $435.00 per week. This appartment is on the 8th floor of a high rise building with beautiful panaromic views. It also has a swimming pool, gym and outside BBQ area.

Are you sure your landlord will allow this as most landlords will allow 'sub-let'. be careful you don't get your self into a load of troubles

I think he is looking to Break Lease rather than sub let, by having someone lined up to take it on he will save himself a few $$$$ in rent when he has to move.

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...
If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

So, here in Oz, you are allowed to Break Lease (ie leave early) but you still have to pay but you are allowed to get any old tom dick or harry in to help cover your payments. Gee I would be well peed off as a landlord as whoever takes over has not been through creidt check and references etc and may trash the place etc etc.. Also how do you knwo Steve the legend hasn't just got a proerty he is wishing to rent out??

Im not sure how you dont understand the rules if your in the trade so to speak, but for the record , Yes you can break in Lease in Australia and lots of people do it for one reason or another. You are liable for rent until the property is re-leased, hence it makes sense to advertise anywhere and everywhere you can to try and get someone lined up to take over the lease. So NO 'any Tom, Dick ro Harry' wouldnt be allowed to move in as they would still have to apply and proove ID as any tenant would.

      Hope this helps
