Hong Kong or Singapore as a stop over?

Anyone with kids about 5 and 8 that have stopped off at Hong Kong, I was wondering how you found it, also was interested to know any ones thoughts on flying Cathay Pacific compared to Singapore Airlines. We did make out reccie trip via Singapore but we feel maybe we should this time go to Hong Kong as the chances of getting the opportunity to do that sort of trip again are pretty slim.

Any thoughts, ideas experiences that you have had with the airlines and both countries would be most welcome.

Hi,we flew Cathay Pacific and they were fantastic.Had a few nights in Hong Kong and can't wait to go back to see more of it.Our kids were 6,7 and 9 at the time and they all loved it.We were very lucky in that the Marriot Skycity Hotel was just open one week and they had great deals on,AU$100 a night for 5 of us including breakfast in a 5 star hotel, who could say no to that?
They have Disneyland there too and tickets are not too over the top.
The people were so friendly, our eldest has begged us to stopover there again on our trip home.
I hope this helps and the best of luck with your adventure.

Just as a side note, if booking hotels try directrooms.com, we have just booked the Hyatt in Hong Kong for £99 per night, instead of the 300 odd quid it is direct. Huge savings!
