Any Ideas?
Hi All
We are off on our reccie, leaving in 3 weeks and heading for Perth. We are staying at Hillary's and just wanted to see as much as possible.
Can anyone give us some ideas of where to visit, Zoo's, Parks etc we have 2 small children so any ideas would be great.
Many thanks

Caversham wildlife park is brilliant - it's in Whiteman park which is also superb with a paddling type pool for the younger children - excellent. You can get around Caversham in half a day - take a picnic and spend the rest of the day in the park .... there's a train ride too in Whiteman.
Kings Park is great ... special childrens area, Point Heathcote, gives brilliant views of the city/river - great kids play area, and Point Walter is also a good place to visit.
Perth Zoo is a nice zoo to visit
Hillarys itself is nice for young children as it has a man made beach area
Adventure world caters for young as well as older ones (check out the website as younger children may be free)
Enjoy your stay
I just want PIO to be a happy place where people are nice to each other and unicorns poop rainbows

King's Park is gorgeous - very close to the centre of the Perth CBD, and gives lovely views of the city.
Kings Park and Botanic Garden
Fremantle is lovely too, but a fair way from Hillary's.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly with more suggestions!! Have fun looking around!!

Where at Hillarys .in the resort? if you are doing a rekky , would focus on suberbs you intend to live ,jobs,.schools etc if you need to travel to work look at the options hire a car get up travel the freeway at peak times to get a feel of life , hey its not a holiday ,its your preview of your future lives , get all the homework done and you can do all the fun stuff in your lives when you live here , my opinion , Guy i met from ireland did some stuff with his family (5 kids ) but went round all the construction sites paid off got himself a job
darn it new leaf gone

Street creds going if it ever was there lol , but IMO you have all your lives to get live here , an analogy could be eatin a dinner , rekky then life , main then pudding , do the graft then you can do the fun stuff later , all the time in the world, pudding then dinner , funstuff then life be like the dinner once the puddings eaten the main seems borin unless you are me and you have seconds for both lol, Most folks on here apart from me are younguns and have all their lives here why try and cram it all in two weeks , makes it an anti climax when you come to live

Yes in the resort, couldnt get a villa for love nor money (well money! they wanted £3500 per week for anything with a pool)
We like the following areas and have done lots of research, but until we get there who knows?? JINDALEE, HILLARYS, ILUKA, OCEAN REEF, QUINNS ROCKS, CURRAMBINE, MULLALOO, OCEAN BEACH, BURNS BEACH, MINDARIE
Just want to make sure we see as much as we can, as well as looking at land/houses/ developments........
