Flies...how do they compare in GC to Adelaide?

We are in Adelaide and every summer we have loads of flies they get in your mouth up your nose and iswear there are half a dozen of them that follow me around (can't think why) but they seem to be everywhere in summer is this the case in GC gotta mate there who says they are no way as bad....fault finding outside a lot in my trade and it's like they wait for you to have both hands full and then pounce sick of being out smarted by them

Went fly fishing once but how you expect a fly to get one of those bloody big hooks in it's mouth is beyond me!

The flies are no worse here than they were in the UK in summer. The only time that they're really bad is if someone in the neighbourhood buys that top soil that is impregnated with manure. That and fish............they can smell fish from miles away and I swear they follow the boat home when I've been fishing.

Brisbane and GC has way less flies then most of the other capitals.

I don't know how many there are in Adelaide.....but it sounds like a lot!! In Sydney they were pretty bad. I've not found them nearly so bad here in Qld.

The flies are bad in Victoria

The problems are caused by the abattoirs in country NSW and the wind pushing down the flies into Victoria

Good tip mate be useful if you run out of bait , pmsl first time in a tackle shop here in Wa and saw the name for maggots ,been fun in Ernie stamfords on attercliffe common in Sheff askin for a gallon of wogs , lol
