Sunshine coast / Buderim area ?

Planning to move from WA to (possibly!?) Sunshine coast / Buderim area at the end of this year. Visited previously and really loved to look, feel, climate etc etc.
We have 3 children - 10,8 and 6 and feel that we need to narrow it down to a particular area, as we hope to visit again in a couple of months, to hopefully buy and look at schools. We are totally confused as it all really looks nice. Sea views seem to pricey, but Buderim looks more reasonable. Our girls are into dancing, can anyone recommend a good dance school around this area (ballet, tap etc.)., and also any advice on the schools would be much appreciated. State and/or private info.
We have looked at several houses in and around Buderim - Dixon road area and surrounds, Rainforest Sanc., all comments (good and bad!) welcome.
We have lived in WA nearly 4yrs. Moved from sunny Scotland, and really excited about making the move East. Also how long (realistic time) is the drive to Brisbane airport?

HI, Lovely area we live in Sippy Downs. There are lots of private schools around this area and all have good reputations, having said that mine go to a state school and that also has an excellent reputation and my son is doing very well and happy there!

Sorry cant help you with dance classes etc.. but I am sure there are plenty of dance schools about.

      Good luck with your reseach

Yes Sippy Downs looks lovely also. Like I said we just want to narrow it down, so we can come over for a couple of weeks, and start making arrangements to move. Otherwise, we will travel the entire country looking and finding 'lovely' areas!
      Cheers.

Hi, Wasnt trying to sell you Sippy Downs, I meant the area that you are looking at is lovely and mentioned sippy downs as a few of the private schools are between Buderim and Sippy Downs, you could get to them from both areas. You wouldnt need to be 'looking at the entire country' to check the 2 areas out.

Hey i understand that, i was just making the point that this could go on forever, bearing in mind we live in such a beautiful and diverse country! Thanks for your info., we are not sold on just 'Buderim', we want to look at the whole area, so hearing that about Sippy Dwns is great. We just want to utilise our time best, and not waste it tracking of to places that are not suitable. Make sense? I've looked a bit into the schools, and there certainly seems to be a good choice. A good state school would be our first choice, we have a couple of years before our eldest starts high school. Maybe you or anyone else can clarify something for me - do they start High school in Yr 8, as they do in WA? Someone said they start in Yr 7? And the cut off dates for school? I should now look on to the Education web site I know.........!
      Thanks again.

Thanks for that. Would love to hear more about Rainforest San., as looked at a few houses for sale there, and heard from friends (who visited that estate), that it was beautiful.
I'll look again at it and get together a few questions for you!
Would love to catch for a coffee, and talk to a 'local'!!
I'll keep you posted on our plans.
