I have been living in Wurtulla with my family for seven months now and I am wondering are there any women out there that would like a good natter or a night out with the girls.
I am up to my eyeballs in the day looking after my little seventeen month old terror and i find it hard to have a decent conversation with others when he is around. I need some proper adult chat, some time to be me and not just Mammy. I am finding it pretty difficult at the moment and need to find a great group of girls to do girly things with once in a while without having the kids in tow all the time. If anyone fancies a girlie outing or if anyone can come up with some suggestions please help before I go Stark Raving Bonkers lol!

Hi, I live at Golden Beach near Caloundra just up the road from you. We've been here nearly 4 months now. My 2 kids are 8 and 11 and so I'm free in the day or the evening for a child free night.

Hey Shaz thanks for replying my name is Rhianedd. It is a pity you live so far away perhaps you are the same as me and need some adult conversation instead of baby talk. Well if you are ever in the area let me know from Rhianedd

It's horrible isn't it? I sometimes think I'm going mad! Don't know much about current affairs anymore, but totally up on who's who in the Night Garden, and which Wiggle does what!
Is she in kindy at all? Just sent my 18 month old two days a week, and after a few tears, he loves it! Two whole days off .
No-where near you either I'm afraid, but get what you mean.

Hello Jo I am glad you are getting a little free time now your Bub is in Kindy. Jacob does not go to kindy, if he did I don't think they would know what hit them. I know all children can be difficult but Jacobs middle name is Mischief. The thing is I am not at the stage where I would feel happy him not being where I can see him. I went through a few problems in pregnancy etc and I am a bit clingy. But if I was rich I would love an Au pair lol! I could then slob out on the couch with a box of my favoutite chocies and let someone else do the hard work and I could keep an eye on things.
It is just really hard when I haven't had any time off from him since last September or maybe longer than that if only my fairy godmother would magic my motherinlaw for 24hrs. I would not know what to do first, my eyebrows or my roots lol!
Anyway nice to hear from you Rhianedd.

Know what you mean, dont think I'm ready for Luke to go really. In the U.K, I wouldn't have considered it at all, just taken him to a toddler group. He got really clingy though, only seeing me all day, and I thought it would do him good to mix, and his brother and sister are both at the same kindy too. Hopefully you'll find a good playgroup or something near you to meet other people in your situation; it's really hard without grannies around to help!

Well I have some Relos coming over today so I will have extra pairs of hands. Can't wait. Hope the weather clears up though. I will let you know how it went when they go. I don't like the thought of that though "when they go". We will miss them so much and I know I will shed a few tears. Anyway speak soon from Rhianedd.
Hello, Myself and my other half moved here to the Sunshine Coast at the start of March always on the lookout for new people to meet and I'm also available through the day and in evenings if anyone fancies a shandy (or hot chocolate... I'm so tired at the moment they both do the same thing!!)
