Holiday Info required Gold Coast

Can anyone help please?

We are looking to go to the Gold Coast from Victoria for a holiday at the end of June. We have a 7 year old and want to hit some of the parks and sites (Seaworld etc). People at work have recommended Broadbeach - so we have Googled serviced apartments / hotel resorts with pools, and have got loads and loads! We just don't know where to start!

We hope to fly to Coolangatta and hire a car. Could anyone recommend any really good places to stay, we don't want to book somewhere over the internet and find it to be really poor. We have already done this in Gippsland, and it was a very expensive mistake!

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Hi
We stayed at a nice house in Northwestern Court in Varsity Lakes when we went last year. We booked through a company in Broadbeach called Raine & Horne.

Have a good holiday

The Baggo's is on a distinguished road
We stayed in Le Grande in Broadbeach, self catering units, a stones throw from the beach and 1 minute walk to cafes and restaurants. Theme parks and surfers all on your doorstep! we loved it there!

hi,
when we (my ex wife and i) went on holiday to the gold coast we stayed out of the gold coast and had a much better time, there were more families in the appartments and less noise!! we would get back from our day out head out to the pool cook the bbq the kids went off and played and we would sit out all night chatting to our new freinds. we didn't hire a car and got on fine as the gold coast is set up for tourists. the busses collect you from the hotel and take you from the parks and you can get busses into the gold coast with no bother, sure beats driving, finding parking, getting lost and then arguing! lets face it we all do it? the gold coast has alot of younger people floating around drinking and showing off? and the main strip from what i remember just sells junk but something you need to see i guess? staying out of town also reduces the price. hope this helps
Geoffrey

I work at Surfers Paradise accommodation resort at Bahia Apartments in Surfers Paradise which is also very nice and you can walk into main area theres putt putt, bungy jumps etc around the area.

Good Luck
