Hi all, could someone please tell me the box jellyfish season, whilst we are coming to melbourne for our rekkie in october we are looking at flying up for a break on Dunk island, we would be up there about the first week in November, and although the resort has a fact sheet you can download on this subject my computer just shows me a page of waffle.
any info will be great thanks cos i can't see how i would be able to tell the kids whilst playing on that paradise looking beach that they can't paddle in the sea!!

I'm not sure about Dunk Island but I know that up around Yeppoon it's Nov - March and in Cairns I think they start in Oct. However, the reefs seem to still be swimmable in stinger season. They probably have nice pools or springs you could use instead, if it's a problem.
