I was wondering....how often do bins get emptied in Oz? And how many bins do you get? eg: 1 for household rubbish...1 for recycling.....garden rubbish etc etc?

We have three bins, one for normal rubbish, one for recycle and one for Garden, the rubbish bin gets emptied every week, the other two on alternate weeks.

We are a bit behind the times here and only have the one bin,it does have small recycle part in it but not much.I was surprised that its still emptied on bank hols, boxing day etc, that dosnt happen in the uk.
