JUst wondering if any expats living in Townsville at the moment. I have read some horror stories on here but have also read really good things about Townsville.
Would love to here your views.
Got loads of questions regarding th area, just a few to start.
1. Which area is the best to live? we are looking at Bushland Beach Good/Bad?
The children have a very good network at the moment here and want to be in an area where there will be plenty of children close at hand for my children to play with.
2. Employment, hubbie currently a Wall/Floor Tiler, will there be work out there and what sort of wages would we be looking at, what hours do you work?
I'm currently a police officer 14 yrs but will be resigning!! Yipee
so will be turning my skills else where, looking at part time work to fit in with the kids.
3. Standard of living? What are the basic outgoings? ie rental, tax, insurance, food, petrol etc.
4. Schools, 2 kids both primary age, looking for a very good primary school in the area.
5. The heat is it as bad as stated? how do you cope with the heat? My littlest one suffers from prickly heat (not Bad) but I and am worried it will affect him or he will grow out of it.
6. What do you all do in your spare time? We are all sports mad and would love to get involved in sporting activities. We all love swimmming, little ones footie, dancing and we do diving.
7. Are good migration agents that you have used? and shipping agents.
We are hoping to move out once visa sorted and house sold, cant wait to move away from England.
The list is endless of questions but just a few to get started
Just want to make sure I have a good knowledge of area before jumping. LOL
I feel boggled eyed at the mo..
