Hiya ,Springfield lakes is lovely dosnt seem to have much crime and has reputable schools. It is direct access to the centenary highway too.The new shopping centre is massive and gives the area everything it needs(we often shop there its only 15mins from here).hope this helps a bit

      Hi

I have friends who live in Forest Lakes and they love it, no problem with crime.

There is a dogy element wherever you go, but if your not silly and have an alarm on your home, then you should be OK, theives look for the easy way in and out, because the Ozzies are generally easy going, they don't seem to pay our for a house alarm as they costs around $2,000.00 dollars, it is just seen as an expense.

My other friends who lived in forest Lakes did move to the Gold Coast as their children were bored by the area as it can be quiet, their eldest Son was 20 at the time and their other Son was 11. Both kids have now been on the Gold Coast for more 2 years now and are much happier. The eldest Son has mad a great network of friends and is more settled than ever.

I will be up at Forest Lakes for a birthday bash in June, i'll see if I can find out anymore info for you while im there.

I lived at Forest Lake for about 12mths..never had a problem..however the week before i moved out there was 4 break-ins in our street!!!

A friend of mine works in insurance and advised there is about 10 claims per week from F.Lake, that said, it is a nice area and would move back again. easily do PA hospital within 20-25mins. I work at Woolloongabba. Also consider Parkinson, Algester (i'm at parkinson now), takes about 25mins :)

Hi Dbrown, be careful on settling based on a job. We have met so many people choosing houses and schools based on a job. If you have kids and want to settle them into one school only maybe look at schools first, as you may want to move jobs after a month. And your kids have made great new friends in an area you hate. North Lakes is obviously alot closer to the coast line but all 3 areas you mentioned have a good family feel to them.
Hi Kelly & Jamie, hope your looking forward to your trip, we had a barbie with a few wee Scots on Sat night/Morn.

Thanx for your reply, I do agree with you and we are looking at schools for the areas we have chosen. At least the areas we are looking at sound good for familys.
      Thanks

We have looked at Algester before but was told the areas around it are less desirable, but we liked the look of it.I think if we looked at forest lakes we may need to buy a big dog although kids are scarey enough(lol)
      Thanks
