The trick is to hold the stubbie between the thighs whilst driving!! On a Friday arvo at knock off time look out for the near misses at the interchanges as beered up workers jump the lights on the way home! Quite scary!
My Aussie cousins can't believe it when we offer to get a taxi after a drinks session and they decide to drive home. I am told we don't get taxis here......this is the Gold Coast!? I know the saying "When in Australia.....". But I don't think I will be joining in on this one!
its quite common for construction workers to take 1 or 2 "roadies" for the journy home. I remember asking a brickie how long it took him to get home and he replied "about 3 stubbies"
