hi there,

i,m a carpenter and live in victoria point.i work on casual full time which means my tax is paid and i dont need my own insurances and i am on 30 bucks an hour for a 45 hour week anything over that is paid at time and a half.i dont get holiday or sick pay and can be laid off at a moments notice.if you want to get your bsa license and insurances you can work as a subbie and get around 35-40 bucks an hour plus g.s.t.
the license is like all things aussie a right royal pain to get and it all comes down to someone wanting dollars from you!!

we find that the cost of living is high and getting worse mortgages are over 8% and rising house prices are the same but in general it beats the pants off of the uk

hope this helps spencer

p.s email me if you need anymore help
