Husband just been offered job in Tweed Heads so we could live in Queensland or NSW. I know there are differences betwwen the 2 states in terms of tax etc. Please give any advice on the pros and cons of each.
Hi, we live on the Gold Coast, and have also contemplated moving down to northern NSW, so will view this thread with interest! Had a drive down to Tweed Heads last week, and looks quite a busy place, more so than where we are currently based. Unfortunately, don't know the answer to your question re tax, but if you have school age children, there could be a difference in what year they were in at school. The cut off point is the 31st June in Queensland, and 31st July in NSW; this means our four year old, born 29th July, is one of the oldest in the class in QLD, and the youngest in NSW. So by living in QLD, I have him at home a year longer

. Probably not relevant to you, but wanted to mention just in case, as still annoys me!
Good luck with your move, Joanne
