Hi Guys,

After some distance advise!

Looking at driving from the Goldcoast to Airlie beach and firstly need to know if this a feasible option or way to far?? If it is feasible then approx how long will it take? Got rellie coming who wants to see Great Barrier reef and can't get decent flights for when she is here Anyway think driving will be much more fun with 2 kids

Axx

Your journey is feasible but one hell of a drive with kids. However if you break it up with stop overs, this should be fine. I have driven from Rockhampton to Brisbane and Rockhampton to Whitsundays. Rocky to Whitsundays 5 hours, about 8 the other way with kids. Great Keppel Island isn't far from Rocky and it is beautiful. The coast Yeppoon down to Emu park is worth a visit. In Rocky there is a small zoo, and an aboriginal cultural centre ,this is excellent. Just a thought the whitsundays are fabulous too.
