we have been on the sunshine coast for 6 weeks now and are settled in but do miss our friends and socialising. we are loving being here and its all we expected. we are in our late 30s and have 1 daughter who is at school and she has taken to life here well. i am a keen off road motorcyclist and enjoy a beer with a bbq and fishing. my wife is easy going and for a woman she dosnt moan too much!.we have got english friends here and hope to make some aussie ones too.
We are at golden beach and would love to meet up with anyone in a simular position and interest.

Hiya why dont you come down to the meet we are organising for the first sat in december,there are more details in the gossip thread.We are south side of brissy but hubby is selling his road bike and getting an trials,my 8 yr old has a KLX maybe you guys will have to go out some time,,is there many places to go without the police bothering you up that way?

we will come down to the meet, could you let me know where and when?. As for somewhere legal to ride we have ridden in a few forests up here where you can as long as your bike has got rego there are practise tracks where you can ride unregistered bikes.
Is Gary selling his road bike because you cant get away with riding quick (but safetly here). I sold my zx9 r before leaving the uk and promised myself a new one when i got here but not sure whether im going to bother because i would lose my licence to quick over here. Thanks for the reply.

Hiya Clayton ,,part of the reason is noone really ''plays'' here like they did in the Uk (if you get my drift),the other reason is he was using to commute to work and one biker a week on average is being wiped out and killed on the same and surronding roads,,and i thought Spain was bad !!lol they are building some tracks down this way too so will have to try a few when he gets rid of the CBR,,,

thanks for the reply,we had someone killed on a bike just last week 2 streets away. The roads are a lot busier up here than i was expecting so thats the main reason for me not getting one either. hope he stays safe till he sells. will see you lot at the meet.

No probs ,,we are meeting at a lagoon/beach ,there are BBQs or a chippy ,it has outdoor seating some undercover,it should be a good day look forward to meeting you.You will recognise us ,,just look for one stressed mum, one bald dad, and two blonde tearaway kids,lol!!!!!
