Help shippers need an address

Hi all

We have our visawe have booked our flights leave UK on the 9th September and get in to Brisbane on the 13th, so far so good. Shippers are comming on Thursday but will not ship out untill we have an address in Aus. We do not have any relatives or friends out there and have tried a friend of a friend who said no. We are going on a road trip when we get there for about 5 weeks, then we will settle around Buderim/Mooloolaba area.

Has any one been in this position?

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about your shipping problem but unfortunately you do need an address for customs. I dont think it matters where it is in Australia as it sounds as though you will get there before your things do. Good luck Debbie

Not sure if this will be of any help to you, but what about getting a post office box in the Buderim?Mooloolaba area? Post Office Boxes Alternatively, have you got accommodation booked for the first couple of nights, possibly use that address? As soon as you get here you can inform the shippers of your new contact address.

Dear all

Unfortunatly I haven't been online for a number of days and I now have an address in Brisbane . The support from you has been fantastic .

We had 1 hick up which could have been a major one in selling the house, one word - FENSA. We had some windows replaced but glazers didnt tell us about FENSA . We were then informed that they would get us a certificate in 2 month, stress levels at a almighty high. After shouting down the phone we managed to get a letter from FENSA conforming the work and faxed to solisitor today. Cutting it close but completion on Wednesday fly out on Sunday.
