Hervey bay area

Hi any one about the Hervey Bay area and whats it like to live there! work and surrounding areas.

Hello there,

We are originally from Middlesbrough, have been living in Adeliade for the past 14 months but have rencently moved up to Hervey Bay. We are renting in Torquay and have just bought a house in Scarness.

The area is lovely. The esplanade is surrounded with cafe`s, bars and shops with a marina which is due to expand very shortly.

There is loads of building work going up here too. They say it is going to be the next Gold Coast. Hope not for a while anyway.

OH ( also originally from the Boro) has just started a job with the local water board. Didnt have much trouble in getting it too.

Seems a nice place, guess we`ll stay!!

hi,

this replies a bit late but i have just seen your post we are hoping to move to hervey bay next year if all gos acording to plan, visas ect.

we were there in March this year and fell in love with the place, it felt like home.

The area is beautiful, properies good, the beach is fab and everybody was so friendly.

It was a trauma to leave and we can`t wait to get back there

The place sounds really nice and i and my family are moving to queensland and i keep going back to hervey bay on the net and google earth so it seems to me that would be the place we end up. Is there a hospital there! as she is a nurse and she will be looking to be getting a job prior to moving out there if possible.

I think I have copied the web address correctly! I also noticed a few private hospitals and

few clinics when we were there. I took an interest and sussed them out as I am a nurse

also.
