Hi all,
I run a club called The BBC(Brisbane British Club). We are a meet-up group that gets together once a month for a few cold ones and a natter. Currently have over 100 members so please feel free to join us if you like-we have a really good time.

Its quite re assuring to know that there are websites like yours available to meet people. Myself, my husband and 4year old daughter are half way through our VISA app process and 1 of the scariest things I can think of is not knowing ANYONE in OZ! WE are taking the plunge all alone.We are very social people and are leaving a huge network of friends/family behind to make a better life for ourself and our daughter in OZ, and every now and again am sure will benefit from meeting other people. Will make note of the website and make contact when we arrive in Brisbane.

Im also heading for Brisbane. In the process of having skills assessed at the moment. Im coming with my son who is almost 8. We will definitely attend your meet ups. Looking forward to it already!! Hoping to be there by xmas!

DON'T WORRY, WE ARRIVED IN JAN 07 WITH OUR KIDS KNOWING NOT ONE PERSON AND SLOWLY BUT SURELY WE ARE GETTING A CIRCLE OF FRIENDS. IT IS HARD AND IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AS HOME BUT YOU WILL GET HERE. YOU MEET PEOPLE IN THE WEIREDST PLACES AND THEY BECOME FRIENDS.
