Buderim Good or Bad?

Hi All

Weve been looking at settling on the Sunshine Coast, maybe around Buderim was woundering if anyone know any other places we should check out or if anyone is heading in that direction?

Feeling a bit lost at the moment so any advise would be great.

Thanks
Nicky

We are looking at Buderim and Caloundra, when we went to Oz we visited Caloundra and your right Batman it is beautiful!! Not too far from there is Noosa and that is also stunning (and very expensive for property though).

The property prices in Buderim look reasonable but didn't visit there so not sure what it is like.

What a lovely thought, living on the Sunshine Coast!!

Hi, we are moving from NZ to Sunshine Coast. Popped over the Tassie and found Mountain Creek to be just what we are after. Houses a bit pricey but the schools are wonderful. Rather strict zoning for both schools. Not too many rentals in Mountain Creek but heaps of homes for sale.

we are going here too!!

Hi myself (34) oh (41) boys aged (10 and 7) are off in August to this area too. We feel that Buderim, Buderim on Top, kawana, Mooloolaba and Mountain creek were all really nice places to live. They have superb beaches, shops, restaurants, surf club, shopping mall, schools and it was so clean, people friendly. We found a great solicitor who is helping us with alot of stuff to do with purchasing a property. I could not fault it. Obviously there probably were things but we have stayed here twice now and love it. The only down side i can see, and it seems the norm everywhere, is they go to bed so early, because they get up so early. (We went out to eat one evening about 8.30 to be the only ones in the restaurant, we said 'quiet night' and they said no we close at 9!)I think this is a heat thing, but i am not an early bird (yet!). If this is the only down side then thats fine with me. I am so looking forward to our new life i wish i was there already.

I have been here a year and a half - did also find the early closing a little difficult to get used to, but it is defintely the only downside - can't fault Mooloolaba. I don't think there is anywhere on the sunny coast that isn't nice to be honest.
Best Beaches are Noosa and Coolum in my opinion - although they're all pretty amazing, still can't believe I live HERE :-)
All depends on what you want personally I guess but let me know if you have any queries and I'll be glad to help where I can!
