Coming Over In August 2007

Hi, myself and Jacky are planning to come over and visit Brisabane for 3 Weeks in August this year. Does anybody here live in Brisbane that could send some info on good places to stay. Were not talking the Ritz, just B&B

maybe someone could do us a quick guided tour too!

Andy and Jacky

Hi. Whenever we go to oz we hire a camper van from a company called Brisbane motor camper company.( on the interweb). They are much cheaper than others, but the vans and service are second to none. The weather at the mo in brisbane is glorious apparently, but the evenings are a little cool according to a local (they said that last year at this time but we were warm enough.) The camp sites are fabulous and you prob wont have to book ahead so can stay longer where the whim takes you. Just an idea, we LOVE it!

You could maybe try the backpackers network - there are a couple in the city. And bring some jumpers! Not so hot in August.....

Hi

I travelled around the whole of Australia and pretty much lived in Hostels the whole time!

My one bit of advice is to stay in a Registred Hostel, either YHA or Nomads... Purely becuase they have a certain standard to meet in order keep their membership.

Just "google" YHA or Nomads to find their webistes.

You can get Private dorm rooms with Double, Twin or Family rooms for around $90 a night per room. That also usually includes a private bathroom.

I loved it in Hostels, the atmosphere is great and you can chat to loads of people who are also travelling and can give advice!

Have a fab time
